Also as Repin, another Great Russian artist Vasily Surikov came to Samara many times to be treated by "kumiss" (mare's milk). Some works in the collection by Surikov are sketches for the painting "March of Suvorov through the Alps" ("Suvorov's soldier", 1898), "Stepan Razin" (three works, among them - "A Persian", 1902), "Visiting princess nunnery "(" Head of the Princess ", 1910).
